New Professionals Information New Professionals to Advancement OR Professionals New to District VI Whether you are new to the advancement world or new to District VI, we invite you to this pre-conference session. If you are new to advancement, you will want to get a head start on the conference by coming a day early and meeting other "newcomers" to learn the ins and outs of the advancement profession. Your education will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, when registration opens. Sessions introducing you to all aspects of advancement will highlight the afternoon. A reception with District VI officers and conference committee members will be followed by an exciting dinner at a Kansas City venue with your fellow Newcomers. The Sunday session starts out with a welcome from our district chair, Sherri Schmidt. If you're a more seasoned professional who is new to the District, you will want to join the newcomers on Sunday as the session turns its attention to learning about CASE and how it can help you with your career, District VI and the conference, and how to get involved. Resource partners will inform you about services they offer that can make your job easier. The cost for "newcomers" is $75 and includes all the sessions on Saturday and Sunday plus the reception and dinner on Saturday night. Those new to District VI are welcome to join the newcomers at no charge beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
