![]() Judges Information Welcome, judges! Thank you for taking the time to help our district recognize excellent work. The awards program is an important component of our district conference; your participation will help make this the best conference yet! To begin the judging process, please print a Log-In Form for each category that you will judge. (The form is available as a link on this site.) Record each entry as you receive it; this step will help you and me as we compare entries received by judges with other entry materials sent to me. For your convenience, we have prepared custom category score sheets. You will find them on the Score Sheet link. There is a set of score sheets for each of three major divisions (alumni, communications, and fund-raising). To access the correct score sheet, open the PDF document of the major category you are juding. Scroll through the document you until find the Category Score Sheet of the specific category/categories you are judging. Please print one sheet per entry for yourself and for each judge on your panel (if you have a panel of judges). As head judge for your category or categories, you will transfer all of the raw scores to a Tally Sheet (also available as a link on this site) and average them. Entries receiving the highest points will receive gold awards, next highest will receive silver awards, and so on. Please indicate the award level (gold, silver, bronze) by checking the appropriate box in the area on the Tally Sheet marked Award Winner. We know that you will be judging many quality pieces. In most cases, you will give one gold, silver, or bronze award per category. However, you may give two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes per category. You are not required to give an award if you feel the entries do not merit recognition. Winning entries: Each winning entry should have all the judges score sheets and the tally sheet attached. Please mail winning entries, score sheets, and tally sheets to me. Non-winning entries: Non-winning entries and the score sheets/tally sheets used to judge them can be discarded. (All expenses you accrue for returning materials will be reimbursed.) On behalf of the awards committee, I would like to again thank you for your participation in this important component of our conference. Please contact me if you have questions. Thank you.
