Conference Programming New Professionals (Pre-conference Workshop) With special programming created for individuals with less than three years of experience in advancement, the New Professionals track will jump-start your career and provide you with the tools and skills you need to succeed. In addition to sessions and discussions tailored to new professionals, programming will include networking meals and opportunities for mentoring and guidance from experienced CASE members. New Professionals programming is a pre-conference workshop that begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9. There is a $75 registration fee for this workshop, which includes 6 hours of programming, dinner and a reception with the CASE VI Board of Directors and Conference Committee. Emerging Leaders (Pre-conference Workshop) The Emerging Leaders program has been designed to enhance leadership skills of mid-level professionals with at least three years experience in advancement. It is a new program for CASE District VI and is a direct result of feedback from our past conference participants. We have looked at successful leadership development programs currently in place through other national associations. Alumni Whether you are a membership coordinator, an executive director of an alumni association, a manager of alumni clubs and chapters, an event planner, or a director of alumni relations and annual giving, the alumni track programs are for you! Join your colleagues at the CASE District VI annual conference to participate in sessions and activities designed to enhance your success with alumni outreach and involvement. The integration of social media in the workplace and the classroom. All of these things require communicators to remain nimble, and to craft messages with multiple audiences and media in mind. Sessions in the communications and marketing track will focus on crisis communications, publication development, new media technologies and everything else you need to fine-tune your institution’s communications strategy and marketing tactics. Development Times are changing and our approach to development must, too, if we are to stay on target. The philanthropy track, designed for both newcomers and seasoned professionals, will focus on everything from contemporary development strategies to getting more out of limited resources while enhancing bottom line results. Career Development The career and personal development programming track offers exciting sessions for professionals in all fields of advancement. Topics range from gender and generational communication issues to networking and mentoring tips, how to capitalize on conference ideas and tactics for stress relief. Management Whether you manage employees in multiple disciplines (development, alumni relations and communication) or oversee a specialized team, CASE can help you network with peers and discuss issues unique to managers in advancement. Programming for the management track is applicable to executives in all fields, and is focused on honing skills that will help you lead and communicate more successfully. Independent Schools Program (Tuesday Programming) Advancement professionals working for independent schools face a unique set of challenges and opportunities. With that in mind, CASE District VI has created special conference programming for representatives from independent schools. Network with your peers, participate in track sessions related to your field – alumni relations, communications and marketing, or fundraising – and gain valuable insights that will help you take your school to the new heights of success and community engagement. Independent School programming will occur on Tuesday, Jan. 12. Full conference participants may attend any of these session. Or, anyone may register for one day to attend these sessions.
