Scholarship OpportunitiesThere are a maximum of 12 scholarships available for the 2012 CASE VI District Conference. The scholarship program includes awards for Advancing Diversity, Emerging Students and New Professionals. Each award will cover conference registration ($350), New Professionals track registration (if appropriate) ($75) and travel stipend ($400 maximum). Recipients who reside or work in or near Denver are not eligible for the travel stipend. This is a value of up to $825 to the institution. By submitting an application, the sponsoring school agrees to cover all other expenses related to conference attendance. Although not required, sponsors of the scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to attend the conference. Each institution is limited to three nominations per award. All scholarship applications and resumes must be submitted by Monday, October 3, 2011. A CASE VI scholarship selection committee will review all applications and notify recipients by Nov. 1, 2011. Advancing Diversity ScholarshipsThe application deadline is October 3, 2011. The CASE District VI Board is committed to supporting the recruitment and retention of a more diverse workforce in the educational advancement profession. The cornerstone of our efforts is the Advancing Diversity Scholarship. Each applicant for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:
Up to five scholarships are available. While previous recipients are welcome to apply, preference is given to people who have not received this award before. ADVANCING DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION New Professional and Emerging Student ScholarshipsThe application deadline is October 3, 2011. There are up to five New Professional and two Emerging Student Scholarships available. Previous recipients are not eligible to receive these scholarship. New Professional Scholarships are available to advancement employees with fewer than three years experience. Emerging Student Scholarships are available to undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in educational advancement. New professionals and emerging students working or interested in careers in educational alumni relations, development/fundraising, marketing communications, public relations, and government relations are encouraged to apply. The conference will offer great opportunities for scholarship recipients to learn about the many innovative initiatives in this industry from seasoned professionals who attend and lead a full range of workshops and professional enrichment sessions. |
