Get Involved

CASE District VI offers many opportunities for networking, career growth, and education--from attending workshops to competing in awards programs to participating in the district conference.

Those who gain the most from CASE, however, are the volunteers. From planning a workshop to presenting at the conference to being a judge for an awards competition, volunteering can give you prime opportunities to develop your advancement career, expand your professional network, and grow personally.

Volunteer Opportunities

District Conference

Volunteers from across CASE District VI organize and run an annual conference usually in Denver, Kansas City, or St. Louis. In 2012 CASE Districts V and VI teamed up to offer a joint conference with over 1,000 attendees. Our volunteers help plan session topics, recruit speakers, arrange logistical details, create conference marketing materials, help with registration, host individual sessions, conduct roundtable discussions, and serve as speakers. If you would like to volunteer to help with the conference, please contact a member of the planning committee.

CASE VI Conversations

CASE VI Conversations provide opportunities to network with advancement colleagues on topics such as communication and marketing, alumni relations, fundraising, leadership and professional development. Volunteers are needed to plan, host, and speak at workshops. If you have an idea for a workshop, if you would like to host a workshop on your campus, visit our CASE Conversations website and learn more.

Awards Program

Each year the district sponsors an awards program to recognize quality advancement work and to highlight the best practices of the profession. The success of the awards program depends on volunteer judges and judging coordinators. If you would like to be a judge or to help coordinate the judging process, please visit our awards website for more information.

Board of Directors

The CASE District VI Board of Directors tends to the business of the district. Calls for nominations are made annually. If you would like to nominate someone to serve on the board, please contact our district char, found on our board web page.

The work of the district includes many other efforts as well. If you would like to volunteer in a way not listed above--or if you want to volunteer but don't care what you do--please contact a member of the board of directors or the conference planning committee.
